Export Drone Light Show Systems to Mexico
Workflow for importing drone light show systems from China to Mexico: RFQ, documents, lithium battery freight, customs broker review, clearance and first test.
1. Confirm project scope
The buyer shares destination city in Mexico, target drone quantity, show date, company name, civil event use and whether a Mexican importer or customs broker is already appointed.

- End use: drone light show, tourism event, brand launch, festival or rental fleet
- Import path: buyer importer, customs broker, importer of record or trading company
2. Match system configuration
We confirm the exact equipment scope before quotation, because a working show system is more than aircraft count.
- Show drones, flight batteries, chargers and charging racks
- RTK/base station, control link, router or workstation where included
- Flight cases, battery boxes, spare parts, software handover and training scope
3. Prepare technical and commercial documents
For customs and freight review, we prepare a document package that can be shared with the Mexican customs broker before shipment.
- Proforma invoice, commercial invoice and packing list
- Product datasheet, model list, serial-number list when available and user manual
- Battery MSDS, UN38.3 or transport test summary, and packing information
- Photos or videos for batch proof, inspection and packing confirmation
4. Customs classification and import review in Mexico
The Mexican importer or customs broker should confirm the final HS/TIGIE classification, import taxes, labeling, NOM or AFAC-related requirements before cargo booking. We support the review with product data, but the broker makes the final local declaration.
- Confirm whether the equipment is declared as unmanned aircraft / RPAS and related accessories
- Check if batteries, radio modules, manuals or labels require separate treatment
- Confirm importer name, tax ID, delivery address and customs port
5. Battery and freight booking
Lithium batteries are reviewed separately from the drones. The freight forwarder checks whether the shipment can move by air, sea or multimodal route based on battery documents, quantity and packaging.
- No swollen, damaged or scrap batteries are included for export freight
- Battery cartons and aircraft cases are counted in the final packing list
- Freight quote should separate main cargo, battery handling, insurance and local delivery
6. Payment, inspection and packing release
After the buyer approves the quote, we confirm deposit, inspection proof, final included items and packing photos before shipment release.
- Deposit confirms the selected batch and preparation schedule
- Balance is normally arranged before cargo release or according to the agreed contract
- Final packing list, case count, carton count and gross weight are shared before dispatch
7. Customs clearance and local delivery in Mexico
The Mexican importer or broker files the import declaration, pays duties and taxes, handles customs inspection if any, and coordinates delivery to the warehouse, event company or training site.
- Buyer should keep the customs broker involved before the cargo leaves China
- Any customs question should be answered with consistent product data and invoice details
- Local operation permits and flight registration are handled by the buyer or local operator
8. After delivery and first test
After cargo arrival, the buyer checks packages, charges batteries according to the manual, confirms software handover and schedules a first ground test or simple formation test before a public show.

- Confirm Mexican local aviation rules, venue permission, insurance and safety zone before the show
