Start with the operating scenario

A quote should state the audience area, operating area, aircraft count, show duration, launch and recovery plan, and whether people or moving vehicles are within the relevant operating environment.

Ask for configuration evidence

Request the aircraft configuration, weight and energy information, protective features, control link documentation, maintenance records and the exact operating assumptions used in the supplier proposal.

Separate equipment from compliance work

The FAA framework is not a substitute for local approval. Keep aircraft, batteries, charging, control, training, site planning and regulatory support as separate quote lines so the buyer can see what is included.

Make training and records part of delivery

The handover should include operating procedures, abnormal-event decisions, crew roles, inspection records and a post-show review process. These records help the operator demonstrate how the purchased system is used.

Use a staged RFQ

For a first project, request a matched package and a compliance-information checklist before comparing price. Confirm destination, civil end use, show site, target date and who is responsible for local permissions.
